Bring your expertise in Category Management and help showcase the best of New Zealand to our travelling customers, in a permanent position with a global leader in Travel Retail. You will be accountable for growing the Art of Living & local New Zealand categories through a range of diverse activities including category planning & ranging, pricing and promotions, management of supplier relationships and negotiation.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate broad thinking, experience working with cross functional teams and a diverse set of skills required to drive category strategy.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing supplier relationships
  • Taking part in supplier negotiations
  • Creating engaging value propositions for customers, based on insights and data
  • Monitoring customer engagement in stores
  • Working with stores to drive category success
  • Managing to budgets and forecasts
  • Inventory & purchasing plans to maintain positive cash flow
  • Internal reporting of Category performance
  • Playing an active role in promoting the culture of the business

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • 5+ years experience in retail category management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Industry knowledge in a similar category is highly advantageous.
  • Proven experience managing successful supplier relationships
  • Superior oral and written skills
  • Strong analytical skills

You will enjoy juggling competing priorities, demonstrate a high level of initiative, have excellent time management and communication skills and confidence liaising with a varied audience.
